Legend of the Falls of the Princess

There were times when the Mapuche tribes received Curacahuín in different communities and Pehuenches Puelches to perform the traditional barter and religious ceremon

The Mapuche were not aware of some things that Pehuenches and Puelches already dominated one of them was the horse.

One day came to the ears chieftain Huillical the Pehuenches and Puelches wore the horse, the chieftain prometio valuable gifts to those brave to bring one, but it was not possible and gradually his desire became an obsession, even more so when he learned Malalcahuello who had come to a beautiful white horse. Then gathered his tribe and told them:

This is the princess Rayén, my daughter, one of you that I will bring white horse and to do so will my daughter in reward.

Nahuelcura, Metis Indian who was in love Rayen consoled him telling him not to worry, that he would bring the white horse who yearned both his father and thereby consumarían his love forever.
At dawn of the third day a relincho full of strength and life breaks the tranquillity of the morning. Huillical could not believe what his eyes saw, I could not believe that his much-awaited white horse was in front of him.

Quilacura told the chieftain Ali fulfil your promise? Now that I have your dream come true as desired.

A Mapuche always keeps his word, replied Huillical ruca sees this and ta
kes Rayen as your wife.

Quilacura believed walk in the clouds ... Both time jealous love in silence and now Rayen was theirs. When he entered the ruca a cry of fury erupted entire tribe Huillical, Rayen, where these Rayen! But it was very far away beside his beloved Nahuelcura.

The chieftain Huillical told his tribe: Rayen searching throughout the jungle, searching every cave for three moons and three suns if it is not displayed term will have won their destiny, but will never be more Mapuche woman ...

So all the men were looking for Rayen, but Quilacura left alone, their desperation made to run like a lion in unknown.

Rayen and Nahuelcura ran tirelessly between the forest at dusk in front of a large stone recostaron their weak bodies tired.

The quest for youth did not stop even for a single second and unwittingly ... ... Had already passed the three moons.
Suddenly in the third sun a cry that came from the bushes exclaims: The found, Princess Rayen this here, come all, to these cries Rayen Nahuelcura and looked around her, but saw that they had no exit were in the midst of a human circle and the only exit was a cliff ...
Young people watched and taken from the hands went to empty.

Where was born a cascade of water, ironically in the form of a horse tail.

LOUIS-Friend of Chile Curacautin
That entertaining story, a Romeo and Juliet Chilean. I never thought that the break Princess was a love story, such as those now emulate through such drastic decisions to end their lives by love.
